The Mrs just got one of those. I'll take a look and let you know where I'd put it.

I looked at the pro clip for my Focus, but wasn't wild about how far it stuck out off the side of the console for my car. If you don't like the pro clip, I'd try to mount it dead center of the console behind the gear shift just below the climate controls.
The only thing that gets covered up is the child lock button. We don't have kids, so it doesn't bother us. She has the fwd model, so I don't know if your model has a button on the left down there. [IMG][IMG]

When the car is in park the gear shift is in front of the screen, but would cover the dock when you pull it. When you're in drive, the screen is fully visible.
Should male for easy cable management there too.

not to sound stupid but what are you mounting it with?
will have to mess around with it
looked at the clip that goes over the vent but not sure how that would look!
the lynx radio is so much better than the sirius radio in the car,but i just might make a yearly deal for the radio in the car as my second receiver.....
or use the bean bag mount near the drivers side

Very fair question! I took the Lynx dock and reworked an old plastic phone belt clip and screwed it to the back of the dock and I found a way to secure it to the dash without leaving marks if I remove it. I'll have to look Monday to see what I did. There's a pic on one of the Lynx threads too.

    Dang slick of ya!

    had a idea..............

what if i just kept the lynx on the dock inside, recorded all kinds o stuff
and played it back in the car thru bluetooth?

That works too, just no live content.
I was living on the road in a different rental car each week for a while, and did that. It's OK, but for my everyday ride, I'd rather have it set up right.

We have a universal dash mount that could work for you:
    Custom Mounting Bracket
Its designed to be malleable, so you can get it to custom fit most dashes.

That looks like it might fit close to where I showed it. Could work. It certainly looks like a more subtle fit than the pro-clip.
