NASCAR has decided to reschedule the Daytona 500 qualifying one day early to avoid conflict with the Steeler game, err, Super Bowl for next season. Seriously though, regardless of who takes that top spot for Daytona it will be completely overshadowed by the news coming out of Miami that Super Bowl weekend. :yesshake:

Unless the Colts Or Patriots are playing in the SB, I don't watch it. so it wouldn't bother me.

I'll keep saying it until it's done.....the Super Bowl needs to move to Saturday night.

Just like the Lions should be removed from Thanksgiving. It's a no-brainer.

And qualifying means nothing to me since we have the top-35. Especially qualifying at a plate race.

Because you don't have to worry about getting up for work the next day. Among other things. Think about it....you'll have all day Saturday to cook, get together, stay up, whatever...and you'll have all day Sunday to rest and relax instead of trying to stay away to make it thru work on Monday.

I just think it would be better.

I've never let the fact that it's a Sunday evening stop any of those things from happening. I'm not saying that we throw a party every year but we do stay up for it. If my team is lucky enough to make it to that game, we throw a huge party and I normally take Monday off. I get what you're saying though.

I'd bet that the NFL likes to have it on Sunday just to generate the extra day of revenue. Heck, we'd miss endless hours of commentary leading up to the big game on Sunday.
