Today I was listening to a great album that had one unlistenable song on it - one that I just had to skip over - and I got to thinking about similar situations with other albums. So how about a list of horrible single tracks on otherwise great albums. I'd list the song, album, and artist. I'll start with

Mother - Synchronicity; The Police

Bugs - Vitalogy; Pearl Jam

Revolution 9 - The White Album; The Beatles

I love Revolution 9. I'd like to do a Star Trek TNG remix with Cpt Piccard saying "Number One. Number One. Number One. Number One." :right:

I dig the concept for the thread, but I have to say that I love Mother on Synchronicity. I also love Revolution 9 on the White Album. I have never liked Pearl Jam, so I can't relate to that song.

I always hated Her Majesty on Abbey Road. I think deflates what would otherwise be a perfect end to a perfect album and musical career. The song is nothing more than a little ditty and it shouldn't even rank as a track for the Anthology series.

Feh....

Off the top of my head, I can't think of any on CD that I skip over.
But if the radio is on. . . . .

Don't worry be happy - Bobby McFerrin
cocomo - the beach boys

I haven't had to deal with those since sirius very often but when the mrs. drives sometimes she stops on the oldies station. (no sat in her car.)

I'm sure there are a lot more.

Well, this is interesting, at least.

That's a whole other thread - popular songs that we dislike. I'd put 'Every Breath You Take' (Police) and 'Tempted' (Squeeze) on that list.

But for this thread, I'm thinking of popular albums with a track that would never be considered for airplay, that you would always skip over.

I love basically every song the Beatles ever made... except I always skip the Indian George songs.

Love You To - Revolver - Beatles
Within You Without You - Sgt. Pepper's - Beatles
