Yeah, I was damn close. Rather, my SOURCE was rather close...I still question what's going to happen on SIRIUS (my radio is active 'til January).

- Will "20 on 20" be on channel 20?

- The font of "Pop2k" looks a lot like "SIRIUS Hits 1"...

- "Shade 45"...on 66? Why pull the "16" off Highway 16, but don't remove the "45" off "Shade 45"...unless they're going to realign again down the road...

- BBC World Service News on XM now...not BBC World Service.

- XMLM is actually "Liquid Metal" now...no "XM" (but "Siriusly Sinatra" keeps the "Siriusly"?)

I think they will align more down the road. It is pretty appearant from the talk changes that they are heading in that direction.

It would also appear the Sirius numbering will be the one prevailing for the most part. Look at the examples you stated. Shade 45 will likely be channel 45 eventually. Highway 16 will move to wherever it winds up on Sirius at some later date.

I just did a side be side comparison of the current vs new PDFs and I have to say I am pretty happy from the XM side. My issues are on the Sirius side.

Well I am not really concerned about the SIRIUS side, because after this week, I probably won't have a Sirius Sub.

Anyway I suspect that the die hard XM'ers will still find fault, but overall I think most subscribers will be okay with this. But only time will tell.

Other than a few channels gone, which I fully expected, if the Sirius side gets this line up I don't think it will be so bad.

Again my issues are with Moving Easy primarly. If The Bridge was still there, less of an issue.

Well there are many of us that like Moving EZ, but if that is all we lose, I can deal with that. In my opinion the loss of Starlight isn't that big of a deal becaues often times it was hard to tell the difference between Starlight and Sirius Love. Only a very slight difference between the 2. Clearly Hits One will be rolled into Pop 2K.

Anyway, I am just excited to get the changes and check it out!

The lineup looks great. I guess the devil's in the details, though. We'll just have to listen to see how these channels sound.

+1. We might be in the minority, though. :)

Definitely add me in with that minority then. I just canceled the Sirius sub shortly after I saw the pdf file (and beat the new billing cycle by a day). Now it's onto the XM site to get the Best of Sirius added.

To be fair I am looking forward to listening to Jay Thomas & Lynn Samuels again on Sirius stars and Jamie Foxx's The Foxxhole.

That lineup rocks.

I think XMers just made out big time.
I hope the Sirius side is very similar.

In my opinion, Xmers should be thrilled. Although like DAB said, they'll all find reason to hate it.

I think XM gained much more than it lost. I think Best of Sirius is a way better addition than Best of XM. For all of the cries of this merger being unjust, I think it has benefitted XMers much more so than Sirius subs.

I look forward to checking out The Loft, Deep Tracks, Cinemagic, and a few more on there, assuming Siirus gets the same lineup.

Slowly but surely the minority is getting larger. You can add me to the list as well. I am really looking forward to seeing and hearing the new XM lineup tomorrow. I didn't think I would be, but I am.

Does anyone know at what time the changes take effect? Midnight or sometime during the day tomorrow? I think I will be listening at 11:00 PM (central time) tonight to see if the changes are made.

I originally was diasppointed to find out many of the XM channels were getting the boot, but now that we are only hours away from that happening, I am actually getting very excited. XM is getting reborn....I just hope it is for the better! :yesshake:

I'm liking this lineup, good job SiriusXM!

Now, if everything goes smoothly I'll be surprised!

But now the thing is, since they've merged the two music lineups why can't they merge the talk like Howard Stern instead of charging us extra?

Will never happen.

No music is included in "Best Of", so it's not generating any more $$ for the company. What is? Howard, NFL, MLB (hopefully), etc....

Another reason it will never happen is bandwidth. If they merged all talk channels too, and had play by play for every major sport, all in 1/2 the spectrum, the music would sound way worse, and there's already not much more for DIS-improvement

As long as our playlists do not stay as narrow as Sirius' have in the past then we will be OK.
XM'ers are hoping the catalogue goes with the stations being merged.
If not...then XM'ers will lose...and yeah...we will bitch about it.

Overall...I looked at the lineup and it does look good.

As a dual subber though I do know what some of the limitations of Sirus' programming is.
Octane winning over Squizz was a shocker...hopefully the change is in name only.

I'm actually as excited now as the first day I brought my XM unit home (which was mostly for Opie and Anthony). I bought into Sirius shortly thereafter for a lot of the stuff that XM didn't have. I just canceled my Sirius sub and added the Best of to the XM unit. To be able to listen to Nascar radio, some of the Howard stuff, and now the rest of the Sirius stuff being ported over without those annoying signal drops is just gold to me. Nearly everything I loved about Sirius is coming over to the XM side and man...I'm really thrilled!!! To not have that clusterf**k of antenna and plug wire in my car, to be able to take down the Sirius stuff and have just one dedicated receiver for everything....can't you tell I'm thrilled? :)

The only thing that would've made it truly perfect is if Movin' EZ made it over. I really did love that station, but I'm not gonna pay 12.95 a month for one channel. Other than that, I think the XM side really makes out huge on this. Can't you tell I'm thrilled? :)

The only thing puzzling was when I called to cancel my XM sub the woman was sorry to lose me as a customer. I asked her, "well aren't you the same thing now? I mean you're not really losing a customer". She couldn't really give me a good answer unless she was just used to saying that sort of thing.

You only canceled your Sirius sub, right?

I am telling you, XM is making out in this deal. Most of the reason why people choose Sirius over XM is now available to the XM sub.

Truth be told, I've never listened. It was just sort of as a backup for Moving Easy (which in itself is a backup for The Bridge). I like going to sleep to softer music 9 times out of 10. Looking at the description in the channel guild Starlight is described as "Beautiful Music" which co-incidently is the EXACT description of Escape. Therefore, I would expect that the bean counters in upper management decided to keep Escape between the 2 of them. My guess is Escape will be channel 2 on Sirius.

My problem is made worse by The Blend not being the channel it used to be and making almost unlistenable. If it did what it used to do and is advertized to do, it should be an acceptable alternative to Moving Easy.

I still want my XM to be a family plan to my Sirius sub since there is absolutely no differences in the services. Unfortunatly I am not in a possition to completely get rid of one side or the other.

I suggest waiting for the Sirius lineup before canceling any sub. Some music channels (e.g., Movin Easy) might be unique to the Sirius Sats.
