I hate to be Ebenezer Scrooge, but it's past time for Holly to go- why are they playing Christmas Music after December 25th anyway? To Holly, I say "bah, humbug." But its almost over. Two great channels will be returning to my XM radio very soon. Sirius, well, it'll probably be a while longer than that- sorry, but you guys know how that always is!

One word of warning concerning Cinemagic. This may be nothing at all, but I noticed on DISH Network's Sirius channels today that for Sirius 81, at midnight, it does not say "Cinemagic" there. Instead it says "Coming Soon- The Strobe". Could it be that Cinemagic is being axed on 1/15 for the Strobe's return, at least on Sirius and maybe for XM too? Given a choice, I'd rather have The Stobe than Cinemagic personally, but that would still be bad news if true. Cinemagic is a unique channel and its definitely worth having. I hope it is not cut. On a positive not, DISH does have The Bridge returning to Sirius 33 for sure. It looks like it is safe.

I can't wait for The Bridge and Cinemagic! :jump:

As a Sirius person for 4 years, I've learned to expect the worse... I'd be shocked if either channel hit my radio at midnight tonight. Then once The Bridge is back, for how long? :banghead:

You know every time I read stuff about changes I realize just how smart it has been for me to switch over to the XM side because it seems on the Sirius side the subscribers just continuously get kicked in the teeth. I would not surprise me that Cinemagic never plays on Sirius because they will just use that bandwidth for Strobe. I hope that is not the case because so many has said they really want this channel on the Sirius side. They will also lose Pop2K for Backspin... Yet is seems on the XM we won't lose anything.

If it does in fact happen on Jan 1 at midnight it will happen on XM's side first just like with the Party City that didn't happen till several hours later. Someone on the Sirius side is always a sleep at the wheel.

I will be glad though to get The Bridge back and it might actually steal a little of my Slacker listening time away. LOL :)

XM channel updates have always been at 12:00 midnight on the dot. Sirius seems to just not have a clock in their offices and just do things when they feel like it.

I'm bummed about Led Zep channel going away...they just played Pat Boone's rendition of 'Stairway to Heaven'.

OT, but...for many people December 25th is the START of Christmas, not the end. You may have heard of the "12 days of Christmas" Tomorrow is the Octave (8th day) of Christmas.

Sorry, just a pet peeve.

Yeah, it's on the sats too! :)

(Just went in the car to check it out)

Great, I was just wondering it seems even on the Sirius side they had this change ready to go at midnight. SWEET!

Got my Slacker in the beer cooler chilling while I listen to a bit of The Bridge... Damn that LOGO LOOKS GREAT on my Xpress! LOL :bluemusic:

Happy New Year!
