Les Davis, Gary Burton and Ronda Hamilton are listed on Channel 72 DJ page.

Gary burton was not on this sunday morning. I sure miss his show "Artist's Choice" that has aired every sunday over the last few years as well as his report on his personal relationship with jass artists over the last 40 or 50 years.

I sent e-mail to sirius but just received a standard reply with no response as to Gary Burtons status.

Here is a link to the DJ site:

That page looks to me like it’s left over from the old channel. Sirius has a history of being really slow to update it’s website.

e-mail from Gary Burton

"Hello to my loyal listeners,

I have received a lot of mail about my departure from Sirius Radio and
I decided to write this group reply to everyone who emailed. I hope
you don't mind that I am not writing personally to each listener, who
did indeed, take the time to write. Thanks for your interest and your
praise. I truly have enjoyed doing the show for the the nearly four
years I was a member of the Pure Jazz team. I was working with great
people and enjoyed the outreach to fans of my own music as well as
jazz fans in general, that resulted from being on the air.

As you know, Sirius merged with XM recently and programs with
duplicate types of content were narrowed down to a single station.
XM's jazz programming was chosen to replace the programs previously
hosted by Sirius. Budgeting was a major issue of course, and it was
determined that there was not sufficient funds to continue my weekly
show.

I suppose there is the remote possibility that could change in the
future and I would be invited to join the new Real Jazz programming.
But, most likely that ill not happen, but I will look back fondly on
my years as a DJ and remember how much fun I had doing the show each
week.

Thank you all for your support, and I wish you all the best in jazz
listening. If there's one thing we always could use more of, it's
jazz listeners. Meanwhile, I will continue to tour occasionally, I'll
put out a new record from time to time, and I will be doing my best to
enjoy life.

Best regards, Gary"

So Gary is gone....A sad situation in my book.
