Hendrick also stated that he is in the process of putting an extension on paper for Knaus.

Hendrick is working on signing Chad for a lifetime contract as well as Jimmie but right now he doesn't have enough money to sign Jimmie to a lifetime.. He will tho give him time...
Why would JJ or Chad WANT to leave? Hendrick Motorsports is where every driver wants to be. How many drivers would sign a one year deal with Hendrick for practically nothing?

Nobody said they would want to leave...... Guess we will have to wait and see what happens. He will sign them to life eventually it just isn't something they will jump at with out covering all their basis first... Even tho it is the best deal and looks great doesn't mean you jump at it without thinking and getting everything in order before signing and making sure you are going to get everything you want out of it too.
