Hey Guys Maxim Radio just got dumped by Sirius and with that the Stretch Show.
It was kind of awesome however to get fired and have all your bosses be bummed because they liked you so much and thought you did a great Job.
There is a chance I could be back at some point at Sirius but in the mean time I'm out..
I know one thing manertainment.com is going to be pumped up now becasue, Well I don't have anything else to do.

Weird, i was just at the maxim radio pagee and myspace show pages like 3 hours ago looking for any clues, since I didn't hear any word on maxim on XM's channel list. Guess Maxim is getting a bit of a makeover. Sad, that was the one talk channel other then 100 that I could check out at night. Casual video game show, Devore and Diana, good stuff.
I wonder if 108 becomes just another talk channel now. And it makes me wonder if Bubba does return if that's the channel he'll be on.
Basically, losing the Maxim Branding and relationship, but still trying to keep as much talent as possible from maxim? Or they will dump all maxim related talent, so, pretty much all the shows now, and keep the general format? Hmm..
They sure as hell better not dump Covino & Rich. They have a 3 year contract to do their show, and it has a MAJOR following. Unless their contracts get bought out, I can't imagine they will go away.
I am really hoping they just rename 108 something else, retain everyone by Stretch, and put Jay Thomas in his slot.
I heard them say they just got a 3 year contract. They wouldn't dump them if they just got resigned. Covino and Rich are great.
Yeah, they signed the 3 year deal a few months ago. Hopefully that was a show related contract and not an individual contract for jobs at Sirius. I know Covino will be moving to mornings on Octane, and I "think" Rich is still going to be on but I thought I heard Hits 1 was being changed somehow...who knows. In any event, I'm pretty nervous about what tomorrow will bring.
I think the losing the Maxim name gives Sirius an opportunity to do more with the channel then they would be able to being associated with the Maxim brand. I could see Maxim having problems with their name being associated with some content (e.g. Bubba if that pans out).
Plus I'm not all that much for the gimmicky branding concept to begin with. If you want to give a person a show thats fine by me, but for the most part dedicating entire channels to a person/entity is a waste of cash, with very few exceptions.

gotta keep this channel in some form.. theres already a gay channel (so unneeded), and a womans channel.. okay i can understand that one... but does anyone really listen to playboy radio? I don't.. keep maxim in some form please!
