...both on the screen at the same time tonight on Jay's new show. Howard must have been stewing watching that. Throw in Jerry Seinfeld sitting right there too and it must have been quite the threesome for Howard.

Oprah and Jerry Seinfeld? Pikers! Give me the Fitzdog and comedy legend Joan Rivers any day of the week (except Friday, of course).

Hoard is right - Jay's show is doomed to fail. Not able to secure such solid sponsorship like Ashley Madison, Nodora, and Beeseauticals, lame Jay had to settle for Mercedes-Benz, Sprint, Apple, Vonage, Nissan, and Walgreens. Who the hell has ever heard of these obscure companies?

I hope that thief Jay's show fails so bad, NBC has to borrow money to stay afloat in three years. :jj:

Jay Leno rules and Howard sucks dicks. He's just jealous Leno is so much funnier and hard working than he is.

He (Howard) sounds like a child who got picked last for gym so he needs to bash the other players out of spite. He really needs to grow up and get over himself.

You would think that all of Howards fans would have been chomping at the bit to get all those beeseauticals goodies. Plus it's his cousins company. I guess they couldn't get a loan from cousin Howie so they could stay a float. ;)

Do you think that'd make for entertaining radio? Hearing a mature and civil Howard?

I watched about 10 minutes of leno last night. that sh*t is unwatchable. its totally corny. they had a bit where tom cruise and cameron diaz were on there via satellite answering pre-written questions from jay. it was horrible at best. and who's gonna watch that when it comes on at 9pm locally? there's too many other options on tv. what NBC fails to realize is almost everyone has digital cable. and between having 200 channels to watch, video games, and internet at the same time, you better blow me away with your program if you think you're gonna hold any audience.

Jay's show will fail because you can't do what is basically the Tonight Show in prime time and expect to get prime time ratings. Getting better ratings than Conan isn't going to cut it.

Yeah, that's a fair comparison, subscription-based radio programming with advertising-dependent prime time network TV.

I'm still wondering if DLM's "w" key is broken, or if he thinks that it's a cute joke to omit it in Howard's name.

Yeah, that's a fair comparison, subscription-based radio programming with advertising-dependent prime time network TV.

Businesses don't care what medium they push their product in, as long as they feel their advertising funds are well spent. If anything, a subscriber-based audience would more likely listen since they are directly paying for it, no? Hence, the Stern show gets Cash 4 Gold, and Jay gets Mercedes-Benz.

Also, throw in that before coming to Sirius, Hoard claimed he wouldn't have any time to "prepare" (remember those days), use the bathroom, etc. because of practically no commercials? I guess he thought the subscriber base would be a bit larger at this point in the game. :jj:

Courtesy of dictionary.com:

hoard:

as a noun: a supply or accumulation that is hidden or carefully guarded for preservation, future use, etc.: a vast hoard of silver.

as a verb: to accumulate money, food, or the like, in a hidden or carefully guarded place for preservation, future use, etc.

Translation: My "w" key works just fine.:)

See if you can watch the Leno show (or any show on network TV) for more than 10 minutes without getting interrupted by a string of commercials and then maybe you'll see the difference in the business models.
