Canada Eh!
I've been listening to him since he was on Stern a couple weeks ago. Very entertaining and funny.
He was going on about his contract renewal and Stern today. Made me wonder if he'd be making the move to Howard's channels. I couldn't care less where he is as long as he's live from 3 - 7.

A move to H100 or H101 would be VERY interesting. I might listen to him over Bubber. :yesshake:

I don't think that's likely. Ellis had been implying that he had been trying to do something on the Stern channels for a while but was never given the opportunity. And moving him to a premium channel would mean his XM fans could no longer hear him. But it wouldn't be nearly as bad as the backlash they'd get from moving him to The Virus. But I've been wrong before, plenty of times. :jj:

But I'd be all for it if that meant Bubba was moved to another channel and aired live. Leaving him on 101 is somewhat false advertising with the "uncensored" aspect of the channel.

Let him do a simulcast on 108 or something, it worked years ago on XM 202.

I am concerned about his upcoming contract negotiations though. They could pull a stunt like they did with Bubba and offer him less money to return. He said on his show today he couldn't continue on with the same money for another year.

I wish him all the best with his Sirius XM negotiations and hope he gets fair treatment. But I'm just going by the company's track record and if they didn't pay up for the second most popular show on Sirius, I doubt Ellis will get a huge payday, or even fair compensation for that matter.

After all those times of shark eating people, I'm glad to see we got a notch on our side! :D
Shark attacks are very rare and they generally do not like to eat people. More people die from lightning strikes than from shark attacks each year. Millions of sharks are killed each year by humans, however.

Are you trying to say SiriusXM might drop the ball and not resign some talent for what their worth and lose a great show? ;)
They've never NEVER done that before!:p

Enough of this cutting edge radio nonsense!

When will Mr. Ellis be joined in the studio by Joan Rivers or Greg Fitzsommons?

I'm sure Faction would gain something by losing Ellis...music 24/7. That might be good for them.

Maybe the future of 100/101 is a Bubba/Ellis (or Ellis/Bubba) combo?

I agree though, the whole "uncensored" thing is a bit misleading. Things are certainly going to change in 2011, and I don't think Bubba is leaving satellite. IMO, the "heart" of the Bubba show is the wacky stuff he was doing back in 2006...stuff you can't do on FM.

Where would all the former Bubba (now Ellis) fans go if Ellis was chased off to Citadel Broadcasting?

Could Ellis and Bubba BOTH be on Cox, the way Howard and O&A were both on CBS?

...my head spins.

More of the "wacky" stuff took place on FM in 2008 than took place on Sirius because all that stuff kept being squashed by corporate. Things he couldn't do on Sirius, Cox let him do. Other than overtly sexual stuff, he can still abuse the staff and do other crazy shit. The Treeman fireworks footage is hilarious, he lights up like a Christmas tree. :jj:

Funny, they're scheduled to do a show live from an air base and Ellis said it would have to be clean like terrestrial radio and that it would make good practice. If he went that route talk about irony...

I'm betting he's talking about "practice for shows on base". Ellis is looking to set up a lot of USO shows.
