Hi everyone,

I posted this problem on siriusbackstage last night... 20 people viewed the thread and no one answered. I figured I would give you guys a try.

My Stiletto 100 seems to be... um... broken.

All of a sudden, it started to reboot, as though I had shut it down and turned it on again. When it "turns on" I get the picture of the dog and the 5 little circles that progressively light up until it's fully rebooted... only it never fully reboots. The fifth "circle" lights up, it stays like that for about 15-20 seconds and then it says "Shutting Down". It then reboots itself again and the same thing happens... it shuts itself down. Only does this twice and then it's off completely.

I have tried plugging it in using the AC adapter, changing the battery, docking it in the boombox and the car dock, and it's the same story. Boots up and shuts down. It never gets to the menu screen.

The other thing is, when I dock it in the boombox or the car dock, neither light up. Usually, when I slide it into the boombox for example, the boombox buttons light up. This does not happen anymore. Same with the car dock. It's as if there is no power coming from the Stiletto.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I hate to say it but these symptoms are consistent with software failure. Have you attempted to do the Device Recovery Process yet? If not I would recommend doing that. If you're unsure how to do it please post back and I will supply you with instructions. Hopefully the Device Recovery will resolve the issue.

Thanks for your reply, SSF.

I am not at all familiar with the device recovery process. I would appreciate it very much if you could supply me with the instructions.

Thanks in advance.

PS: Do you know what would cause a software failure? Just before this problem started I was loading songs on to my SL100. Could there be a connection?
