A caller this morning asked Howard when did you become Imus? The caller then compared what imus does with his wife on the show and the books and so on and Howards respone was that Beth had a career in show bizz before she met him. Is doing the Ames catolog really count as being in show bizz? Howard and the gang quickly dismissed the caller and began to praise Beth and that was funny. Discuss

Well, by the sounds of it, it was not of the "Eric from Hoboken' variety.

It is funny to see how closely Howard mirrors Imus through some aspects of his career.

Back when he was on Krock i did a few times. I did call Bubba last friday and asked if i could see a picture of the bike he said he rode with his family because i didn't belive there was a bike that could hold him, i was at work when i called and was distracted so the call wasn't all that great. lol

I think comparing him to Imus is a stretch, but I did think it was funny a week or so back on MTT he was going on about how stupid it was to be involved in animal charities. :)

Howard is not Imus.

Imus isn't funny, speaks in a way that nobody can understand, dresses like a cowboy and you never hear about his show.

Howard, while I agree the whole Beth and North Shore Animal League this is so over talked about and quite frankly annoying, is still relevant and funny. Everyday he has at least two hits in the "google trends." Usually one in the top 15 and another in the top 35.

After I typed the above, I checked google trends and Kevin Nealon is currently #6 and octomom 911 call is number 32. both topics we played and discussed on the show. I bet after the replay the porn star that rode the sybian will show up on google trends too.

Big difference in being funny . . . and being Imus. As long as Howard is the former, to me he'll never be the latter.

As far as being a hypocrite is concerned; if we live long enough, we all become hypocrites. It's called growing up. Some people should try it, they just may like it.

I have never heard Imus so i can't say he is funny or not but you have to admit the similarities are there as far as Beth and Deardra(how ever you spell it) Beth's book coming up soon(wonder how much that will be talked about)Giftscpritions and NSAL. They could have a week long special of howard Slamming Imus for his trophy wife's involvement in his show. It was just funny how quick the conversation went from being compared to Imus to Beth's show bizz career before they met.

The only reason Howard was able to bust on Imus is because Alison never wrote a book. A man will do anything to keep the pussy supply from drying up. So yeah, in that respect, he's just like Imus (as we all are ;)).

Another similarity is the fact that Howard does not want to talk to anyone in the hall after the show kinda like how you can't look at Imus at all thing. That conversation went on with gange right after the Imus caller.LOL

One my all-time favorite bits was when he got those PETA girls to strip by threatening to cook the live lobster he had brought onto the set.
