iPhone 7 Release Date 2015: Apple To Launch Three New iPhone Models This Year
Apple is reportedly working on launching three new iPhone models this year. And you thought choosing between two iPhone models were hard. The iPhone 7 release date is expected to bring updates to the current iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, as well as the return of a 4-inch flagship device.
A new report from DigiTimes currently making the rounds suggests that for the iPhone 7 release date 2015, consumers will be able to choose from three different iPhone models. The Taiwan-based trade publication claims Apple’s main processor supplier TSMC is producing chips to power a 4-inch iPhone 6 device dubbed the iPhone 6c. This smaller and more affordable device will supposedly cost between $400 to $500 with Apple hoping to sell 10 to 20 million units in the first month of its release.
Of course, this isn’t the first we’ve heard of a 4-inch iPhone device with rumors of an “iPhone mini” spreading even before the release of the bigger iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in September. But those rumors were supposedly put to bed in January when another report claimed a new 4-inch iPhone wasn’t going to happen. But today’s report gives hope to iPhone fans who want a new, faster device that can fit comfortably in their hands.
The current 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus are the best-selling iPhones yet so they will likely be updated when the iPhone 7 release date rolls around. So if this latest report is true then we could see three new iPhones released in 2015. The iPhone 7 release date, as per Apple’s previous product launch schedules, will likely be announced in early September with the new devices going on sale by the end of September.
