Well quite obviously Howard will brush it off, because Arite will come in with i had a scratchy throat and didn't want it to get more serious and talked to my doctor at 3am and he perscribed some heroin and it got all better.
As much as we want Howard to blow up and just let loose on Artie, Howard won't.... Howard knows he's not Artie's father, and him coming down hard on Artie will be exactly that, Howard acting like his father....
As repetitive as it is, in 2 months it'll be an awesome bit, because we'll all find otu that it wasn't a softball that hit Artie but instead a female drug dealer that socked him in the face.

Agreed on all points. I really want to see Howard and Artie fight over Artie's work ethic, but it won't happen.
Hopefully Leno will do something over the weekend and Howard will go off on that instead. I love those rants. He's just trying to get Jay to pop and go off on him, IMO.
This really is a bummer. I enjoyed the whole "BRO" fight. I would think the one over work would be better.
Why does howard put artie on a pedistal? Why is he allowed to do whatever he wants, but everyone else gets reamed a new one?

I don't think we'll hear any serious discussion of Artie's work ethic on the air. I would guess that they like him enough to deal with any issues privately at first. But you never know what will creep into the show and cause a big blowout fight.
i would hardly say he had a career. his career took off because of the show, even though he still makes terrible movies
As much as I hate Benji I would love to see him go off on Howard. Howard is Mr. I'm the boss when it comes to people being late and the sound screwing up,but not at Christmas time. He just needs to lt Howard know this double standard shit is just that SHIT. Artie doesn't deserve to get a free pass because he made a couple shitty movies before he was there. Lets get pissed at Benji for being late and not a druggy,but let Artie slide on missing whole days and lying. Like I said I hate Benji,but I would love to hear him call Howard and Artie out on that shit.
I think Howard does things to exacerbate Artie's condition and enables his behavior because it makes for good radio.

You keep harping on this point, but Sirius agreed to let Howard do this, so stop crying over the fact they sucked you into a subscription. The fact that they work fewer hours than most people is all the more reason to show up when it's scheduled work time.
I would love to see Artie and Benjy leave at the same time. It would mean Jackie has an easier opportunity to come back!
If Jackie came back I would quit listening. I can't stand that guy. The stupid plugs and the thinking that he was the one that made the show funny is to much. I used to listen to the show when he was on it and when he talked or yelped I cringed. The guy fucked himself by leaving the show. He thought he was above it. Notice his wife left him and he had to sell all his houses.

Meh regardless if you agree with "arties work ethic" and if you want to complain AGAIN on the time that the people on the show work, when in reality if anyone had that schedule they'd be defending it till kingdom come. I have a contract where I work 37.5 hours a week, and get three weeks vacation, after 20 years it goes up to 5 weeks. Sometimes when you put time into something you get the perks, and if you jump into a job with those perks already you get the 'extra' without putting that time in... Thats what happens...

You're right - Benji should be reprimanded for failing to show up, not for his work ethic. As a matter of fact, Benji seems more into the job than Howard does.
I realize the vacation time was included and disclosed before the move to satellite, but the all Fridays off was not - at least not to the fans. If the clause was included in his Sirius contract (which it most likely was), all the more reason to label Howard a dishonest hypocrite. And despite claims by some that Howard said from the beginning he would not work any Fridays, his Letterman appearance (made to sell subscriptions) proves otherwise.

DLM i agree with you 100% Howard working on Friday's would be awesome, Howard saying that not working Friday's would be 'doing a disservice to the audience" is absolutely correct as well, him being a hypocryite yup bang on...
