Agreed. But a combo seems unlikely.

I have a feeling they'll stick with one or the other, but in a perfect world they'll combine the best programming from one channel and and playlist from the other.

You know

If we do get the Sirius 60s channel, what will they do with all the XM catalog? Like the Wolfman Jack show for instance. I would love to hear that! Why would they just junk it?

Just bought a new truck with XM trial sub. After 2 days, I agree. I like the 60s on XM much more than on Sirius.

It is possible they could still have those Wolfman Jack Shows on, even if they switch to a SIRIUS version of the channel. I don't see Cousin Brucie going anywhere.

I just don't see any reason why they can't combin the programming from both and make a kick ass channel.

Think about Rick Dees on the 80's and 90's. I hope we don't lose those too, I enjoy them.

Cousin Brucie did just sign a new contract earlier this year, IIRC. So He's not budging for sure. Who knows, they may combine the best shows from either channel. If this is how they'd do all the music channels, I'd be very pleased.

Well, the first channel leaked was not done this way.

XMU removed for Sirius Left Of Centre.

I sense a lot of XM people being upset if this is the approach across the board.

It looks like Phlash Phelps & Terry Motormouth Young from XM will be part of any SiriusXM 60s channel. Im sure Cousin Brucie will be a part of it too. If they would just expand their playlists somewhat. One must remember that XM cut back the 60s on 6 playlist alot in the past 2 years, and Sirius 60s Vibrations actually expanded theirs somewhat. It would be nice to meet in the middle.:)

I agree and it would be great if they could bing all this on air talent together and expand the playlist. It would be one kicking 60s channel.

Luv Cousin Brucie - He was right there on my good old AM/FM radio along with me doing my homework back in elementary school - minus his dog and horse.. Besides playing super music he always found the time to raise money where needed.

Super "DJ"

Now "Wolfman Jack" how can you let that voice get away, once you hear it, it just stays forever there's only one like it............. :Smiley_wink:

diane ;)

So we have XM to thank for 'motormouth?' He is the worst DJ in the history of mankind. The ultimate anti-satellite radio guy. He talks over EVERYTHING. He talks during the songs. He talks over the beginning of songs. He talks over the end of songs. Hell, he even talks in the middle of 'The Ballad of John and Yoko.' Sirius 6 is worthless now cuz the only time I have a chance to listen, he's on.

Like him all you want. Just put him on a talk station where he talks over music and give me my 60's station back.

Back? He has been with 60s since it began in 2001. Perhaps you should reword your statement, to "give me 60s on 6 without Motormouth"? You cant have back what never existed or you never had.

How about "give me my Sirius 60's before the merger back ....?' That did exist, right?
