Tell me if it would or would not work, and why or why not.

Replaying old Sirius shows from 2006-2008 at 1 AM ET Monday - Friday. (1 AM Saturday would be as-is, with the Friday 10 AM ET deal.)

Call me insane, but hear me out. Some people got pissed off that they can't hear Bubba live. Some people got pissed off they can't hear Bubba curse.

If you want to record either show, a Stiletto can easily be found at any one of your favorite retail outlets. It's also possible to record shows through other means.

What would be better is giving the fans a chance for input as to what shows they'd like to hear at 1 AM, ending at 5 AM ET.

Tell me why this idea would not work.

I bet a bunch of folks missed many of the 2006 shows, and they didn't begin replaying that weeks shows on the weekends for quite some time. They only ran the show later in the day actually, didn't get that midday replay for a while. They did run replays on the weekends, but they were just random days. I'd like to hear those 2006-2007 shows again.

Short version:

They started doing it M-F from 4-8. Later on that was switched to 3-7.

The fans wanted something live on Fridays, so eventually it was switched to Fridays from 6-10. Spice's Wrap-Up was added a bit later on.

During that time, Bubba's Friday show was aired midday, then again in the regular 3-7 slot.

Over time though, Sirius has certainly picked up more subscribers. Certainly, playing old shows from 1-5 wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'd only suggest playing the non-political shows. Now that Bush is out of office, i'm not sure we need to hear that stuff again. Give us the puss shockings, ball zappings, shit hitting fans, musical guests, etc.

With the first three people would complain, legitimately I think, that it's mostly visual radio that's getting replayed. I do think they should play more old shows, but unfortunately the Howard channels are chuck full of replays of Howard and other shows at the moment.

I do think putting Best ofs (from the Sirius years, with maybe some FM moments) on a channel like 108 (sort of following the template they have with Ellis on The Virus) would be a good idea.

I nominate Chob and myself for Howard 100 and Howard 100 program director!

We have more good ideas than Sabien's left nut.

HeatherWiz and Ned's Testicles can be "Consulting Managers."

It's funny how things are.

I may be mistaken, but I remember a WHOLE lot of people talking last year about how the 3-7 PM show sucked, and they were phoning it in, and the FM show was a lot better. The FM show was what the Sirius show should be with the stunts, etc. They didn't start talking until 3:10 PM and they stopped talking about 6:45 PM ET with a commerical break, a 2 minute bit, and then a sign-off at 6:56 PM ET.

Now that we have the FM show "doctored up" and aired on Sirius, it sucks, etc.

People won't be happy no matter WHAT you give them.
