They played "You" by Candlebox uncensored...good to hear. Maybe now they've gotten rid of all the senlesless censorship on this channel!

I've heard less and less censorship as the weeks have gone by.

I haven't tuned in Hip Hop Nation lately, but I think they may still be the worst victims of the edit.

I hope they keep up the good work of weeding out the edited tracks from their library.

I'm glad that Lithium is loosening their reigns a little bit. After I heard a "censored" song a bit ago, I haven't listened as much.

Time to give it another shot, I guess.

Lithium 99% of the time has always been uncensored. Maybe once or twice they used the radio edit version that is played on the 90s channel (Lit "My Own Worst Enemy" falls in that camp), but they also sometimes do the reverse by accident on the 90s channel (they play the uncensored Alanis Morrisette "Hand In My Pocket" song). My biggest beef is with them censoring The Heat - my feel is that they should only censor the "Pop" channels of 1-13.

I thought it was common netiquette not to necropost like that.

If I'm mistaken, please let me know.

Meh, it's not a biggie. Check the post count. Red Hot's new to the DRC, and catching up on the conversation. Lots of posts get waken up after taking a little nap. Welcome our new friend to the neighborhood bro.

Is it just me or this thread is like 8 months old?

It is an older thread. Immediately following the merger, there were two problems with Lithium. The first was that they were playing songs that didn't have any place on Lithium, such as Seal's stuff. The second was censorship.

AFAIK, they've always played the censored version of "My Own Worst Enemy." I think i've heard the uncut version on there only once or twice.

Every once in a while, there may be a song that they can't get the unedited version of. (This actually happened on Octane back in 2005 or 2006.)

Speaking of this stuff, it would be nice if they could put in the other version of Pearl Jam's Even Flow. It starts out with Eddie making a "WAUGH" type of sound, and ends with Eddie mumbling something like "I died. I died and you just left me. I died and you walked by and said no, i'm dead."

They had that version on Lithium for a brief time, but dropped it after the merger.

I don't remember the exact date, but I recently heard the uncensored version of "My Own Worst Enemy" on either The Pulse or 90's on 9.
