i just got confirmation from a very realiable source that we will not be getting any spring training games tomorrow nor will we be getting regular season games, for the time being. siriusxm is however in heavy negotiations with mlb.

This is no new revelation. Best of XM only will carry the one talk show for MLB. This does not mean it will be that way forever. The problem is contracts and I'm sure Sirius is working on that right now to get the games on Best of XM. I would like to think that in a year or maybe next season (2010) we will see MLB on best of.
Well..if this is the case. I hope they decide to merge the 2 service plans together SOON, so I can re-start my XpressRC to get the baseball games. I refuse to pay for both services apart when almost ALL channels are the same on both, other than a few. O well...
couchpotato, the mirage should come out sometime in april. don't expect it to be at best buy or other 3rd party vendors though.
I mean combine billing between the 2 services. Everything else is combined, other than MLB. I just don't want to pay for 2 "main" subs for the same content, other than MLB...

not true. there are still some xm music channels that are exclusive to xm. if i'm wrong, someone please correct me.
This is what I may do, eventually. The only reason I waited to see what would happen with BOXM & MLB is my Pacifica has Sirius built in, & wanted it as clean as possible. I do love the XpressRC display, though. I had 5 Sirius radios & 2 XM up until last fall, now am down to 2 Sirius. I just wanted to stay away from paying $12.95+ for both radios if I can help it...
i want xm because of the xmp3 portible receiver and the mlb. my only problem, there is no guarantee xm will carry the nascar drive2crew channels during every cup race.
I just can't decide on what to do.
I have the SL2, home and car kits, and the boombox.
I am leary to replace everything, but it might just be the best thing to do.
I wish they would just get MLB. How much money could it really be?
from the what it seems like it must be dump trucks full, or othwerwise i think it would have been done by now, unless mlb is just wanting to be tight asses and not let sirius buy into it.
No I haven't. Since I have crappy to nearly zero AT&T reception at my house I don't think I'd use it much.
