Congrats dude! My only advice as a new parent would be for you to encourage your wife to start getting out of the house with the baby as soon as practical (assuming that she'll be at home with the kid for a while). Once my wife started getting out and getting comfortable with toting a kid around she was much happier than when she was trapped in the house all day.

And one word of warning: that first month of no sleep and caring for a newborn 24/7 was KILLER!

you're gonna have a lot of fun with your son. I have a blast playing with my boy when I come home from work, and it was awesome to be able to spend more time with him over the Christmas break. And I can't wait for him to get a little older so I can start buying him the REALLY fun toys!

But man, that first month was tough...
