I can see Uranus from here
Just a thought for discussion based on a couple things said today on Howard's show.

1. During the segment discussing Mike Savage, Howard said "i'm trying to think of a radio personality that successfully changed their name to become a persona". Howard didn't mention Bubba, but Artie did 5 to 10 minutes later in the discussion.

2. During the interview with Jason Ellis when Jason was talking about his show being the best on Sirius during the 3P to 7P time spot Howard's response was "yeah, well".

So based on that i'm thinking that Howard and company have already written off Bubba. Am I wrong in that thinking?

I wouldn't say he's writting him off, per se, but he's not on Howard's radar screen.

IMHO, I'd say the KOAM is pretty self-centered....and I like him like that.

I think that it was probably just out of respect to the guy that Howard didn't want to stir any shit trying to pit Ellis against Bubba, especially since those 2 have patched things up. Ellis was being a pretty good guest as it was, so why risk messing it up with silly radio war stuff while the guy is talking about fucking Chyna and getting rolled by heroin whores. :)

In comparison to the attention that Bubba used to get on the Stern show he does seem written off. IMO Howard wanted Bubba to be his right hand man to carry and bring in a good portion of audience that Howard wasn't accustomed to. And Bubba did that but the other circumstances made it so that Bubba is further from the Stern/SIRIUS family for sure.

Maybe the whole going back to testicular radio?

Yup. The connection is merely a formality now. I'm of the opinion he should be off 101 and live on another channel.

There shouldn't be an FM show on a premium channel, especially 101. And I'm not in any way putting down the show. It's just a matter of what was promised for Howard's channels. However, like Jay, I say he keeps the guest slot on Fridays.
