Howard showed up on the Wrap Up Show. Unfortunately work interfered and I didn't catch the whole. thing but I know the subject of fan criticism came up. He's a different guy as guest rather than a host.

He actually endured a real caller, who criticized him for telling his fans to fuck off. He then reiterated his position, and told his fans to fuck off.

Its interesting that he decided to sit in on WUS. He must be getting a lot of negative feedback. I think he was trying to gauge the fan attitude on a less public forum.

I'm actually starting to enjoy WUS more than the show. The WUS is what the real show would be if they didn't screen and/or fabricate their calls. Pretty much every caller was pissed and made the same critiques that you see posters here frequently making. Despite what the minority here likes to claim, if the WUS callers are any measurement, the opinions of the posters on this board do seem to be reflective of the fan-base.

I agree. it was cool to hear REAL callers on the show for once. and howard being questioned while not being the host was refreshing. with that being said, howard's still a dick. but its not something I didn't know from the get go anyways.

They are only a measurement of unhappy people who will sit on hold to complain. It's generally known that unhappy people complain - happy people are rarely heard from. Except for the minority here :D

and edit: flipped over to catch the WUS replay on 101 to see what all the hubub is about - about when does he show up?

Exactly. I've never called into a radio show in my life, except once to win concert tickets (Elvis Costello). I don't feel the need to be lumped in with High Pitch Eric, Joey Boots and the various Bong Hits. I've actually got a job.

I never thought I would say this but I was glad that Ralph phoned into the show because he called Howard out on what a lame guest Whitney Casey was.

I am not an unhappy person (in fact, I'm a lucky guy) and I complain a lot. I praise when something in my opinion is specially praiseworthy. I complain when something is worth complaining about. I love Howard, Robin and Artie just bullshitting but I don't post a message everyday to that effect... who does? (I guess Eric from Hoboken or Maryanne would). And I don't have to wait on hold to post a message....

Gary even got into some monkey math with the Mail man's salary.

Was it my imagination or did Gary slip into defend the boss mode when Howard got on? Amazing ... like zero appreciation for a mailman who has two radios and buys anything Howard has to offer, puts Howard before his kids... You don't like it mailman?? Tough shit. Get out.

Well...as a DJ Howard always prided himself on hitting the post.

yet howard thought she was a great guest.

It truly doesn't matter what the fans think. its apparent by howards f-u attitude. he set it in stone on TWUS.

im sure howard was only saying this cuz it was "beth's guest". did you think he would possibly disagree with her?

I wonder if management forced howard to appear on the WUS to clear the air about his comments about telling subscribers to cancel. cuz it was strange that tim s. and greenstein all of a sudden popped up on the show @ the same time.

if they did, why did he tell the callers to cancel them?
