Howard gets all the rappers

I like these interviews because usually their lives are pretty screwed up. TI--going to jail, AKON--weird life in general--and Howard makes it fun. Plus, they usually report on who their bangning and who they don't like.

A bonus from these interviews---Howard usually goes into the story of how he grew up in a Black Neighborhood and then he usually tells a story we haven't heard about a guy that beat him up. I like those stories.

I was just thinking how I don't like these interviews. Of course I don't like rap at all so I may be biased. The one good thing about them is that Artie usually does his Biggie impression.

Awful show IMO so far today between yet ANOTHER cookie-cutter Shatner interview and a boring Akon (who?), interview.

*EDIT: I did not catch the first hour of the show.

I'm now listening to the replay. The first hour is great!!! They've touched on the Bubba happenings and the OJ stuff is just Howard in his prime. Nothing funnier than Howard doing OJ. "Hello Browns, this is OJ, I'm going to get yo stuff back. Let's conference call the Goldmans, Hello Goldmans, this is OJ."

Howard gets "rappers" because they happen to be in the building doing publicity on the other Sirius channels.

Musicians are the best guests: good stories and howard makes them play their hits.

I guess it all depends what you prefer. I don't like the rapper interviews but I don't mind other celeb interviews. However, I like it best with no guests and they just bullshit with each other.

Heaven forbid Gary would actually "get" a guest as opposed to just agreeing to whoever offers to come on the show.

TI and now akon is boring. Too many guests IMO. I liked the first hour when they just talked and played bits.

I'm with you there. I always change the channel whenever they bring on one of these rappers.

I almost turned it, too, but decided to give it a listen. I actually didn't dislike the interview as much as I thought I might.

The only thing worse than rappers are porn-whores. I just don't care about either. No guests = better radio, but its hard to be funny for 5 hours all by yourself.

They are A-list....but mostly boring. Isn't Lil' Wayne coming in? These are people at the top of the charts, but I think someone like Pink would be a more interesting interview. Do you think they tried for her....or maybe she wasn't in the Top Five the week that Howard was paying attention to the charts.

"Her new song is only in the Top Ten but not five....oh, it bombed, Robin!"
Actually I think it was number one at one point when they played it.

I don't mind the rappers. Sometimes they are decent. I don't know why he doesn't want to get some rockers in there. He almost didn't want Nikki Sixx and that interview was great. I don't like when he has Kidd Rock because he never says anything. Howard asks and asks and he never tells anything.

I bet Metallica would turn him down. It's not like they need an help selling albums. I still can't believe Howard though people didn't know the song One. I think he forgets those guys have sold over 100 million albums. Even my dad knows the song One. I listened toit all the time when I was a kid and that video was huge.

I could listen to Shatner all day. The Shatner cut-and-paste audio-book clips are priceless.

I loved when they played the clip of him being asked about the whole wedding invite thing. He hammered on George - pretty funny stuff.
