I got Sirius December 2003.

And I agree with everything Casual Fan said. It was more fun back then and the music selection was waaaaaay better. They had a reggae channel, for pete's sake and live, good DJs

The Joint (Sirius 84) doesn't do it for you?

Received: Christmas Day 2005 (Best Buy gift card, Roady2).

Canceled: Early 2007. Gave the service a chance after Music Lab and Luna went away, but it got collectively worse after that. Once the merger talk started up there was no way I was going to stick around, and won't be returning especially now that Pandora and Slacker exist, and there will be caching on the Slacker iPhone app soon. Which eliminates the 'you can't get slacker out of cell range' argument.

I got my first radio on Halloween 2004, about three weeks after Howard made the announcement that he was moving here when his old contract was up at the end of 2005.

Ditto. Got me a Sirius Orbiter, approximately the size of a phone book. ;)

Since then, I have owned at various times:

Starmate
Starmate Replay
S50
SL100
SL2
XMP3
3 or 4 different in dash car radios (including wife's car)

And probably a couple of others that I have forgotten...

December 26, 2004 with an Xact Stream Jockey. I got XM the March before the Merger. I currently have dual subs but will end the XM sub (I have the iPod dock) after my trip this June to Savannah.

Currently have Sirius in the built in radio in my 2010 Toyota Corola S. I have XM on my iPod Touch and on an XMp3.

I believe it was May, 2005, so I'm coming up on 5 years. I remember debating over which service to get. I chose Sirius because they had the NFL, Big 12 football, and Mojo Nixon as a DJ. I wasn't a Stern fan, but became a fan when his show started on Sirius.
