A better question would be how long till I care. 
I cound't care less if he's lying or not. He's funny and adds a good dynamic to the show and keeps people talking. He's doing his job.

doubt it. i think the entire crew is just tired and over the artie saga. no reason to bring more attention to it
If Artie is a liar about the new routine, he picked the only reason for motivation that would cause me to believe him, being tired of hearing his mother cry over him. I think I actually believe him this time. Good thing I don't really care if he is lying though.
no, he hasn't spoiled the show.. its just when he starts talking about himself or tells a story I get the "yeah, sure" attitude where as in the past I would have been captivated.
