Hows the portable reception on slacker DAB ? I'm not sure I want to spend money without getting some kind of a trial on slacker.

What reception? You download all the music stations to the device, you can go between 25 and 40 depending on the model you get. The stations are downloaded/refreshed daily when you plug it in to charge it This can be done via wifi or you can do it using a usb cable.

Tell you the SQ and quality of the channels themselves is GREAT! Check it out!

i posted this else were but the hip hop nation is being broadcast from the xm compound. the program director is leo g (i believe) xm used to edit any ch that did not have the xl tag. i say give it some time and they will replace the censored tracks with uncensored tracks.

Raw 66 was the rap channel on XM and it was never censored. I can't see how that's the reason why. I just can't see paying for censorship. There is no excuse for them to be playing fm radio edits. Uncensored music was the number 1 reason I got Satellite Radio, so now I have to give that up too because i just can't listen to censored music. I wonder if Slacker is censored and if not how long before the mommy squad and religious right whackos attacks them too.

The only bright spot I've heard so far on HHN has been DJ Bee tonight. This is just so disappointing. HHN was a great channel. Sure, it needed help, but it was still great. This HHN is a TOTALLY different channel. Let's say they make HHN uncensored... Why? So we can hear Kanye West and Rihanna without curses? Look at the HHN countdown on their site. It's all shit. If they make it uncensored, it will be the equivalent of what Hot Jamz was. IMO, the idea is to create a better Hot 97: censored pop during the day, and uncensored mixshows at night. This is not going to work, considering we all have hot 97 on our FM dials. This is just hugely pathetic. Get Leo G out of here. He has no idea what is good. I tuned into Nore's Militainment radio last night. First of all, what is this, 1998?Second of all, screaming"Make Some Noise" every break does not work on radio, thirdly it was horrendous. This just feels wrong.

Ok first off, XM's 66 Raw censored plenty of songs, more so than any of the 4 Hip hop/R&B channels on Sirius ever did in the nearly 3 years I've had the service. As it stands now, all the channels are censored except for Shade. It's disappointing for me because I don't have Hot 97 on my dial here, I have "the new Jammin 107.5, which is a censored, lame, commercial ridden version of Hot Jamz/The Heat.
