I have a Palm Treo 680 that is basically falling apart, so I guess it is time to upgrade. Looking at Walmart, it seems there are a ton of phones for virtually free with a contract extension. I have heard good and bad things about windows mobile, but mostly bad, so I think I will stay away from it unless you convince me otherwise. I will NOT be getting data.

Needs:
- QWERTY keyboard, preferably not touchscreen
- WIFI - I don't know, I think its cool.
- Video player - I watch top gear when traveling
- ability to add GPS without data or GPS mouse - not even sure if possible

Wants:
- slider style
- best camera available
- Biggest screen possible
- best web browser through wifi - will be used when traveling

I think the blackberrys seem to give me the best wants vs needs, and I am thinking about the Bold or curve 8900, or Nokia N71. Any other suggestions?

Edit: scratch the bold, looks like I have to get a data plan with it. no thanks

I have the HTC fuze and I love it. See if you can get that without the data plan. It's totally customizable and very easy to use.

thanks for the suggestion. I haven't been able to find it for cheap though, even with an upgrade it was still $200 :bigahh:

Well, I think I am going to get the Nokia E71x. I have found it on Walmarts website for free, but it is backordered, so who knows how long till they get it.

What other places sell AT&T phones?

radioshack didn't have it, its expensive on AT&T website

You should check out the refurb deals that ATT offers online:

Packages & Deals List - Shop - | Wireless from AT&T, formerly Cingular

I got my bold there for a very good price and it has always seemed 100% brand new to me!
