Hey all, back for a quick hello again.....for now. (I didn't know everybody had moved!)

I've been off-line for a month and a half because of moving and just got online again.

Would you believe that I've not watched one chase race? And you know what? I don't feel I've missed anything at all. The Chase has not curbed my love for the NFL at all. And I haven't been listening to Sirius because I've been busy with other things. And again, I don't really feel I've missed much. In fact, I'm considering canceling my subscription for a while.

So I see that Johnson is heading for another championship. OK. Yawn.

I was a nascar fanatic from '78 to about '02. Then I just lost interest. It got boring for me. I don't know why really. My stepson got me Sirius in Feb. of '07 and I tried to get back into Nascar. I really have tried. I WANTED to love it like I used to. But I don't. I can't pin it down to one thing.

Some things though.... I don't like the current nascar leadership or direction. There are so many tracks that I don't care for so I don't watch. (you know...the 1.5 mile tracks...blah) The times the races come on. So many races are just boring and I can't pin it down to one thing. I personally believe half the drivers should be dumped to let young hungry drivers come in.

And as I said earlier, the chase hasn't made me switch from watching the NFL. Frankly, I don't know what nascar can do about that anyway. Unless every chase rase was at Richmond! LOL. Maybe shorten the season? I don't know. Definitely some of the races need to be shorter.

Well, I'll see what next season brings. Maybe I can get interested again then....

Later.

....

I sure hope he doesn't. I'm kind of a fan of his. (fan of HMS in general) but man, its so BORING to watch. An unbelievable feat he's accomplished but boring to watch.

What is boring about watching the best driver excel at what he does? Jimmy's team is so far ahead of the rest right now that I can't wait to see what rabbit they will pull out of there hat this week. I’d rather be lucky than good and Jimmy has been both going for him. To repeat at any thing is the hardest thing there is to do. So if he was to 4-peat and makes history who wouldn't want to be apart if that. I didn't watch mush Nascar back in the so-called day. Here and now is my day. Today and tomorrow is my time in Nascar history it is when I am watching and to have records broke in my day is something special to me.

I suppose that is exactly what I find boring. I'm not taking anything away from his talent or the record he is about to tie. Its insane how good he and knaus are in the chase.
But personally, I see no excitment in it. It's the same thing as the last two season, at least last year Gordon gave him a run for his money, this year he could have it locked up before homestead.
I don't even care who wins the cup I just like to see an exciting fight for it.
Again, I'm not trying to take away from what JJ is doing but from a spectator it's boring.

/just my 2 cents

I couldn't agree with you more. In the words of Gen. Patton "Everybody loves a winner"...:)

I was happy to see the Patriots win that first super bowl, and even the second one was ok, but after that I was ready for something else. Same thing with the Cowboys in the '90's. Thank God for the Giants this last time.

When Gordon first got started I was BIG TIME pulling for him. It was exciting. But by the end of the '90's I was SICK of him. LOL.

Last year Chevy won, what?, two-thirds of the races? Thank God for Toyota and Ford for getting in the game this year.

Maybe, just maybe, something will happen and we'll have a new champion this year. Even if it is that back-flipping politician. LOL.
