Listening to the Pulse this morning, around 7:30 or so, and the DJ (female, forgot her name) mentioned that in the next couple of weeks they are "moving up, like the Jeffersons, to channel 12". And that was it, onto the next song.

No mention of any other changes or where the Bridge goes. But I guess it does mean that the Pulse survives.

Did anyone else hear this or similar announcements?

Probably means XMs Ch. 9 will stay as-is.

I just want to say I heard the same thing this morning driving home from work ~6:40 am. I was telling myself to remember her name but it has slipped away. She said pretty much the same thing that very soon they are moving up, like the Jefferson's.

If you can't remember the Dj's name then I can't believe you. If you listen to The Pulse a lot you should know who they are... there are only 3 of them.

This evening at 5:25 pm Eastern, Jim Ryan on The Pulse said it would be moving to Channel 12 on Nov. 12.
That's a couple days earlier than the Nov. 14 speculation that's been mentioned on the Web.
So, now that we have this small bit of information, the questions are:

1. Is this for the Pulse only, or will all the changes be done on Nov. 12?

2. What happens to The Bridge?

3. Does this mean Sirius subscribers will be getting XM's 90s on 9?

4. Does this mean that the country channels will be primarily from Sirius, because XM's country channels start at channel 11?

5. Will XM's Flight 26 go away since it and The Pulse are both categorized at Hot ACs?

1. My guess is everything.

2. This is what I want to know.

3. ?????

4. It may mean that they will use the screwy Sirius channel numbering

5. Probably.

Since they are moving Channel 9 'the pulse', it would make sense they are freeing up that 9 spot for a 90's channel, XM's 90's on 9, obviously. Unless they move The bridge there for some reason...Which makes no sense..OR another payola channel..?

Perhaps Flight 26 will live on in the Pulse, and some of the talent there will be combined partially with the pulse, taking on a different identity then what it is now, and going more of an XM route, But keeping the name.

Hard to say, but I can't wait to find out.

Led Zeppelin will be on Channel 12 on SIRIUS. Which means this is a bunch of bull.

Your choice but that's a statement that makes no sense. If I looked up the name on the site and mentioned it would that have been more "reliable"? I was honest identifying a woman but am not a regular listener. Why would I make this up?? And where did I say I listened to the Pulse a lot?

It so happens the kids were in the car and like to bounce back and forth between Hits 1 and the Pulse. Otherwise I never listen to either.
Third, at least 2 others have heard the same announcement on that channel.

Yeah, but there's a press release that suggests Grateful Dead (is it?) radio was going to go on channel 12 from ASAP until 12/31/08.

Hmmm.

Sirius XM has confirmed that staring Nov 1st they are trashing The Bridge and replacing it with Led Zepplin Radio. This will air on Sirius 12 and XM 39 through 12/31.

This sucks. If the Pulse is moving to Channel 12 it is going on hiatus until 2009. As of 11/01 .... The Bridge is GONE. :(
