I'll be going there on March 14 to see Modest Mouse. It was a gift for my wife for her birthday. I just couldn't wait for them to play here.

This will be, maybe, the 16th time I've seen them (probably more). I am guessing there will be a new album coming soon.

Anyone else here going?

I first saw them when I lived in Seattle back in 1997.

Now there are big and a little more popular.

Mimicking Birds and Japanese Motors are opening. So I guess I'll go get a beer first.

I'll be there a week later for a conference, does that count? Please report back on the weather so I know what to pack! ;-)

Just got back today and I have to say the show was fantastic. If anyone see a show at The Electric Factory in Philly you will have a good time. You could see the stage from anywhere and the sound was great.

Modest Mouse was great as usual. They played many of their newer stuff and some of the old stuff for the die hard fans, like me.

We walked for miles around Philly and I actually went to see the Liberty Bell. :)

Now I look forward to seeing Modest Mouse in Mass soon.

Cool beans...:D

I'm more scared of Philly then I am of Detroit...:worried:

Boston's the nicest city in the EST...:)

Hey, I'm from Detroit - trust me, Philly is nowhere near as bad as Detroit. I walked all over the place at all hours and never felt as odd as I do in Detroit some days. Maybe I got lucky - but still, looking forward to a few days there again starting Saturday. Should be fun. :)

Hey, me, too. :)

I haven't been in the D since the summer of 2006, when I went to see a Tigers game.

I get down there for a game every so often, and a show here and there. I goof around a lot about how bad things can be, since I rarely have troubles there. It's all about being smart about when and where you go - but a lot of Detroit's reputation is based in reality. Sadly, things don't seem to be getting better.

How was the weather in Philly, btw?

The weather was ok. It was supposed to be sunny and 55, but it was overcast and 46 or so. It was a little chilly walking around.
