When we go to the states, we carry a "US phone". This is a cheapo phone which allows us to call people in the USA and message and get internet for maps and stuff without spending a fortune adding on to our Canadian phone plans. The problem is the phone is a cheapo android phone and a pile of crap. I have no idea how many OS updates it is behind so we are debating on what to do about it. Then I remembered something about my iPhone11 having dual SIM support. I just read the Apple help on it and it left me with more questions. I thought the iPhone11 had a dual sim support. Apple is talking about an eSIM. Not sure exactly what that is. I was hoping to just plug the other SIM card in. Do any of you use a dual SIM phone? If so, how easy is it to switch between the 2? Can I still diable cellular data on one of the SIMs (which I would do while in the states)?
