guitar hero III

I bought it when it came out for the Wii, never having played the other a whole lot, I've maybe played 1 and 2 casually at parties.

I ended up giving it to my friend, and now room mate, because he enjoyed it a lot more then me. I still like the game, but am not as good at it, so I tend to get frusterated at it. :P

I can't say. I can play a real guitar, but I've never played the game. I'm like Kyle's dad on South Park. I can't understand why anyone would spend time practicing fake guitar when they could practice real guitar. Fake guitar won't get you laid. At least not that I know of.
 
It's a game sir. You are basically playing TAB with one string to popular music. Hell, why play a car racing game when you can just go out and drive a real car? Why listen to music when you can just write your own?

ITS A GAME.

It's actually pretty fun. My dad is a musician and was making fun of people playing Guitar Hero rather than real guitar. My response was- I like war games, don't want to go to war. I like racing games, don't drive race cars. It's just fun. And the music kicks ass.

I wouldn't call it practicing...really couldn't give a rat's ass if I improve at it...it's fun every now and then. Tell you what, if you can 5-star Through the Fire and Flames on Expert and a chick is in the room you WILL get laid

I have raced cars, but it's damned expensive. I've also written and recorded my own music.

I understand it's a game, but it's a game that simulates something you can really do. I love Mario Kart, but I can't really drive around and throw shells at other drivers, and I can't do it any time day or night against 11 other people from all over the world. I can play guitar anytime I would play Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero isn't much cheaper to get into, it isn't any safer and it doesn't seem more convenient than the real thing. I still don't get it.

yeah but you can sound good at guitar hero in like 1.5 days whereas the real thing probably takes a bit longer. seriously, how long did you take to become good enough at playing guitar to get laid regularly?

That is amazing, 100% on expert on Reign in Blood. I can barely pass in on medium. I love Guitar Hero though, one of my all time favorite games. I got my preorder for GHWT for the 26th, gonna be sweet!

Some of those notes sound like drums. Do you play more than just a guitar? Maybe I just can't separate the sounds on some of the notes.
