I'm looking for a free CD ripper for the Mac that can rip music to MP3. I know iTunes can do it, but I want to keep the ripped songs separate from my itunes library (they're gonna be going on the XMp3 i'm gonna be buying tomorrow). Any suggestions?

Have you tried Handbrake? I know it's mostly used for DVD's, but you might be able to do mp3's.

I found one called XLD that seems to be working pretty well for me. Thanks for the help, it got me looking in the right direction .
