Im not a beer drinker, so I already have to pay $7 or $8 for a drink at the track. They should only sell beer in paper or disposable plastic cups, at least take the danger out of a flying can. That is stupid on the tracks part! I would hate to see it banned for the people that know how to act, but I dont see anyway to teach people things that their parents couldnt teach them before they reached 21. Its really sad that you cant take your children to a "family"
event because of the idiots around you. I have NEVER been to a race where there wasnt a handful around me, no matter where I sat. It will always be a part of sporting events, not just nascar. One of my friends took her 10 year old daughter to a college football game several years ago. A couple near them got into an argument and the woman stands up to walk away and the guy pulls her back into her chair by her hair.
At that point my friend ask the guy to calm down that her 10 year old was watching all of this unfold, he got angry and beligerent with her and she proceeded to take him on until the security finally showed up and took him out of the stands. Things are gonna happen and alcohol will always be a factor, but it doesnt make it right or any easier to put up with the :bs:!
