You guys remember George Flowers and Penny Crone, right? Two of the original members of Howard 100 News who would come in and do the studio updates. Now, Lisa G. and Steve Langford have taken over. I was wondering who you guys like better? I don't miss George Flowers too much, but Penny Crone made for some interesting bits. That lady was a little out there.

Ronnie pretending to be "Bonnie Mund" while talking of her support towards Ronnie was very funny. I don't care if it was real or not, it was very funny.

George had a great voice, but as far as Penny is concerned, I really like her. I'm probably a little biased though because growing up, I liked her on Channel 2 and FOX News.

I am still torn on how I feel about the whole "News" thing. Most of the time, I think to myself "what could they do if they spent that money on something else?" I think including the News director, there are at least 5 salaries there.

- give it to Bubba
- hire more 'tapes' guys
- get more talent for the channels that aren't wack packers or wackos
- give it to Riley :-D

I like both Lisa G. and Steve Langford, but Langford is the best. Although it seems some of the staff don't particularly like him, Langford's delivery cracks me up every time. Also Langford's reports seem more intriguing ... I prefer his "gotcha" journalism style over Lisa G.'s frequent fluff pieces (about wedding dresses and the like).

I don't miss Flowers. He almost seemed embarassed to have to "lower" himself to work there.

As for Penny Crone I always thought there was more to the story of her being let go other than just staff cut-backs. Working in management I know that sometimes a contributing factor for letting multiple people go is to make it easier to get rid of one particular pain in the ass. I love Penny but let's face it, she was a little nuts. Unfortunately when it came to working with others, she was never one to save the drama for her mama.

And my least favorite reporter is Ralph Howard. I know he has a lot of experience but his style bugs the shit out of me. I hate the was he says, "Howard ONE hundred news". His whole delivery sounds too phony, but not in a funny way as is the case with Langford.

In summary, all this means is I really need to get out more.

I liked Penny. George didn't leave a lasting impression on me one way or another. I find Lisa G HIGHLY annoying. Langford rules in my book. He's a PISSER.

Langford is fun but Lisa G is a total bore. I wish Howard would forget to have her in the studio every day.

Langford and Crone would be the dream team. Lisa would have to ride the Sybian in order to remain competitive with Crone.

Of course, someone would have to clean the cobwebs off of the Sybian afterwards.

I always liked Penny. She would always go in the studio and complain. She was more of a team player. Lisa G is the worst. She is to boring and she isn't a team player at all. She acts like she is to good. I wish they would let her go and split her salary to some of the others there. I really can't stand that bitch.
