I hope everyone on this board had a wonderful Father's Day!

On today's show when Howard described how not one of his three daughters sent him a Father's Day card.....and the obvious sadness and dissapointment in his voice....I actually sort of felt bad for him.

As a dad, that would hurt me very deeply, and it was obvious that Howard was upset over it. I would bet that his youngest, Ashley, gave her stepdad a card, gifts, and most likely spent the day with him - the best present of all.

I wonder why this hapened? Howard has always said his split with Alison was amicable, and his relationship with his daughters was solid. Could he be stretching the truth once again? Not getting a Father's Day card is a loud and clear message that the Stern girls are not on the same delusional page in life as their father is (Well, maybe the stripper one is, but not the other two).

The girls should all chip in and get Howard a card already....better late than never, I always say. To make up for it, they should throw in a Simon's gift certificate - this way the money stays in the family; well Ashley's family anyway...Hahahahaha......

Hey Now

Wow missed the show today, but that really sucks not a card between the 3 of them ?

How about a call, did any of them at least call to wish him a Happy Fathers Day ?

Did Howard/Beth send his father a card ?

Did Ben Stern at least get a dinner on Fathers Day ?

Interesting.

What! One of Howard's daughters is a stripper???

Sounds like Howard is close to the youngest one, they go jogging, etc. but that things are not great with the other two. I could be wrong. I think one doesn't live in the U.S., and the other doesn't get along with Robin or Beth. I may have gathered my info wrong from listening over the years.

No problem, its nothing that a good embarrassing segment on a nationally broadcast show won't cure for next year.

Die, I'm usually onboard with your posts, whether I say it or not, but I think you're taking extraordinarily great leaps of assumption here.

I saw my dad on the Saturday before Father's Day and had a card ready to give him. We had a big ass bar-b-que at my house with friends and family but I forgot to give him is card. Simple oversight on my part - totally innocent.

Usually the simpliest answer is the correct one.

I heard that part of the show yesterday and I thought it was sad. Something seems to be wrong in that family. Perhaps they don't like the fact that Daddy dumped their Mother for a model somewhat close to their age. Daughters get pissed about that kind of stuff.

Beth is 36. Howard's daughters are 26, 23, and 16 (thanks Wikipedia). It's not that close.

I wonder if Howard sent his father a card?

Since my father got mad at me 15yrs ago for not sending him a father's day card, we haven't spoken... and I'm fine with it.

I wouldn't either but you have to look at it in the eyes of a daughter.

Not really.

In fact, a person who no longer posts here was the only one who seemed to think the rumor was false. His reasoning? Because I posted it may be true. And as usual, he was wrong.

Furthermore, I'm not the one who needs help. If I were in a position where my grown children feel so much anger towards me that a sending a simple card was too much to ask, perhaps I would need help.

Oh, that's right.......Howard is getting help. With well over a decade of three visits per week, there should be a breakthrough any day now. Hahahahahaha.....

I wasn't making a leap at all. Howard passive aggressively complained that he did not recieve a single card from any of his three daughters. Robin was stunned, and asked if any contact was made, and Howard said one or two of them may have called. He genuinely seemed bummed out about it.

Perhaps you're right. Maybe they just forgot to go to the store to pick up cards. Whatever the reason(s), it seemed to bum Howard out a bit.

Or........

Maybe his daughters have inherited the "selfish gene" from real daddy. The days of going to Long Island to pick up/drop off his children have been replaced with flying to the multi bowling ally and chimnied Hamptons mansion with Mrs. Ed.

Under those circumstances, I can see Ashley not wanting to go to one of her new daddy's malls and pick up a card for her 55 year-old jet black haired former daddy. :jj:

pretty sure the guy you're talking about is out of Indy not NY

ask yourself, why would that billionaire shack up with the ex-Mrs.HS?

this seems more likely: David Scott Simon, Husband of Howard Stern`s ex-wife Alison, who shares his name with a younger Billionaire causing much confusion all over the internet

David Simon - Dating, Gossip, News, David Simon Photos

meh, fuck it either way
