F1 continues to show interest in Kyle Busch

US F1 sporting director Peter Windsor is so enamored with Kyle Busch, he keeps very informed on what the Sprint Cup driver is doing "on a daily basis almost." Windsor would like to eliminate "almost" in 2011. "If he wanted to drive for us in 2011, we'd certainly be keen on that," Windsor says.

"I've watched him a lot and have massive respect for him," Windsor says. "I know people who know him very well. I believe Kyle can win a world championship in Formula One. I think he's got exactly the right talent, the right approach. I'd love to see him in a Formula One car. If he wants to jump in our car next year for doing some demonstrations here in the States, he's very welcome to do that." Busch's contract with Joe Gibbs Racing won't expire until after next season, and there've been no indications he is planning to leave.

Why would any nascar cup driver want to go to Formula One? I guess if they just LOVED that kind of racing and that car maybe? Wanted more time off?

They make SO much money in nascar. "Easy money" for many. You can be a nascar cup driver, win very few races (if any), and come out of it a multi-millionaire.

But Kyle's not going anywhere until he wins a cup championship.

as for why he'd want to? Not money but bragging rights I suppose,
I'm sure Kyle has a lot of money now and I'm sure it's more than minimum wage in F1, so he'd be alright.
I still can't see him doing it until he wins a title here though

I don't know much about F1 but I thought that is were the money would be for a driver, no?

I don't know but I would bet that in nascar a cup driver would make more. In similar situations over the same amount of time. I'm considering sponsors, etc., everything.

Tell ya one thing about F1, normally who ever gets the Poll gets the win... lol

It can gt interesting sometimes but for the most part is pretty boring to watch... Now qualifying last weekend was interesting because it was pouring out when they did it, really screwed some of them up. One race to go in F! season and they crowned the champ in last weeks race...

They won't crown him but everybody will know it. I would laugh my tail off if the teams that are a top 35 lock skip the last race. (no, it won't happen, but it would be interesting...)

I LOVED the year that it came down to Jimmie or Jeff to win it, because I didn't really care who got it that year. I really wanted to see Jeff get it but I was absolutely fine with Jimmie too...
