The talk on this channel is not really that extreme. I hate to be negative, but this channel is TRASH. It is a complete waste of space. The talk is of stupid, pointless crap. When I first noticed this was on my XM radio, I had high hopes for it. I thought it'd be crazy, controversial, and "out there". But I find it to be pretty lame. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this would be a good candidate to me for a January 15th extinction...but XM probably has those people under contract and all, making this a non-possibility.

If you like this channel, then by all means please chime in here. I want to know what about it appeals to you.

It's Clear Channel's idea of "crazy and controversial." They program it.

And yes it's a terrible channel, but Clear Channel doesn't have much content to put on XM. They won't run any shows that require fees, and all the shows on Extreme Talk give their shows to the channel for free.

That Todd Schnitt is one crazy out of control shock jock. :jj: The only thing remotely interesting about him is when Bubba and the gang clown him on the FM show. And the fact he's suing Bubba for it.

But what's the deal with this channel? Are they obligated by the contract with Clear Channel to continue carrying it?

If it is in fact a ClearChannel station, then yes. ClearChannel programs their channels the way they see fit, and XM doesn't have any input into that.

I'm not sure when the contract is up, but I recall reading someplace that the ClearChannel stations on XM provide a nice little paycheck to ClearChannel each year, so I'm sure they will stick around as long as possible.

What's weird is that all the shows are from Florida, except I guess Lex & Terry. Their flagship station is in Dallas, but they are on a bunch of stations in Florida. But Schnitt is from 970 WFLA in Tampa, and the rest of the shows are from WTKS in Orlando. Clear Channel has other "Hot Talk" shows besides these, so why don't they put some of those on? Except then we'd have Bob & Tom on the XM airwaves, which would be lame.

I enjoy the Monsters. In fact it was the reason why I purchased my first XM Radio back in 2001.

I went on vacation in Orlando and caught their then Midday show in my rental car and got hooked.

The show now has its good days and bad days, but its still fun.

This summer I went to Orlando on Vacation and the Monsters had me as a guest and I got to sit in Studio with them for a show. I had a great time and I felt like I was with friends hile I was there, we all interacted together well and it was like I was part of the show. I got pictures and stuff from my Morning with The Monsters.

You can see them at Scott's Morning with The "Monsters In The Morning" - SatelliteGuys.US

The only thing I would do with Extreme is make the Phillips Phile show which airs delayed at 6pm a live show at 3 in the afternoon. :)
