It's about time but why do they feature Dale Earnhardt Jr? That's my driver but I'd think that they'd use someone that's won more than one race in the past season and a half?

Canada Eh!
Well he is the most popular driver and at least they addressed the fact that he's not running well in the ad.

I just hope they don't suck too bad with the coverage. The '07 season was terrible and I didn't watch last year because it was all Jimmie all the time.

The last three years have been all Jimmie. I don't want to see that repeat again but I guess if he's up front, contending for his fourth straight championship, how can they not devote major time to that?

I'd like to see it be the 'Year of Mark'! Here's that damn phrase, If the chase were to start today..... wouldn't the old man be leading in the points? That's the story I want to hear. Well, that and a couple of Jr. wins.

Well, to be fair, I didn't watch last year ONLY because of Jimmie but also because of the race tracks that are in the chase (not my favorites)

And because when football season starts I'm all in. :p

Oh, mghtx, I forgot to add this into that post for you.....

Jimmie Johnson, driver of the #48 Lowe's Chevy, picked up the ESPY for Best Driver during the 17th annual ceremony Wednesday at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live. Fans can watch the ESPYs, hosted by Samuel L. Jackson, this Sunday at 9:00pm/et on ESPN. This marks the second year that Johnson has won the award, which is based upon a fan vote. Johnson, the three-time defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, also was nominated for Best Male Athlete.

Kinda shows you ESPN's stance on JJ.

I just got DVR a month ago so yeah....

Well, in general, I don't give a flip what ESPN thinks or says. (and that's nothing against JJ there.)

You'll love that DVR during the football season. You are a Steelers fan, right.

I don't really care what ESPN thinks either but I was just trying to show you where their loyalties are. They named him Driver of the Year. ESPN is getting ready to start their coverage. They'll probably have a dedicated Jimmie Cam. LOL All Jimme, all the time will become their new motto.
