I think he's already 5-6 yrs beyond the "optimistic" prognosis.
The little bastard has to die soon. Science can't sustain someone with that many problems very long.

yeah I heard this part before I came to work. I mean thats more than a 1/3 of his body weight.
It does seem like something is going on between this and the doctor telling him to only call in 1 day/week.
