I was a big usirius fan, and mourned it's loss.

Here is my thank you for the replacement product....

1) download 'streamer.zip' file from here

2) unzip streamer.zip file into your 'radio' directory

(usually C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Media Center Programs\Radio)

3) use a multi-file search and replace program to edit the 'htm' files, replacing my "http://192.168.0.9:19080/sirius?channel=5&format=asx" with the ip address and port you are using

I use replace text available here

Now, you will have icon's and instant access to all of your sirius stations within WMC

I want to check this out but rapidshare sucks... it often tells "free users" that servers are overloaded and won't let you download (while of course, saying you can avoid this by buying a subscription.)

Would you mind putting this on mediafire.com? Much better file hosting site.

Thanks... I think this only works on Vista/7 though?
It causes the channels to show up under "Radio"?
I'm still using MCE 2005 and I just use the ASX playlist method, although you can't have the icons show up.
That's cool you have a way though, because the playlist method is broken on Windows 7 for whatever reason.

Damn near gave myself Carpal Tunnel editing all those files, but it works fine with Win7 Media Center. Thanks!

vmc / wm7 only

Sorry, I should have pointed out this was for vmc & wm7 only.

You shouldn't have to edit each file. If you download that search and replace program I linked to, it will go through every file and replace every instance of my ip address. May be useful for you if/when the station numbers change, or you change your ip or dns name.

Glad it worked. I'm still working on figuring how to make the view page dynamic so we can get station information (song info, etc...) in to the interface. I may have to make my own mcl player using foobar or winamp that I know can capture and forward the info.....

Phreaker47,
Have you been successful getting SiriusStreamer to work with MCE2005 extenders? I had it working with uSirirus, but cannot get it to work with SirisuXMStreamer.

This is very exciting.
I've been looking for something like this for my Media Center PC.

I have a noobie question though ;)

Regarding the changing of the IP address and port number.
What information exactly needs to go there..the IP of the computer I'm on?
I'm not even sure what the port number is at the moment.
Thanks

Still prefer Stream_ON, which shows "what's playing" on each channel and has a much superior and richer function-set.

Sure, it's a Windows app (which is an advantage, since it also runs fine under WinXP)... but if you're looking for a very very nice Sirius player (to replace the Yahoo Sirius Player widget, which seems to have just stopped functioning) there's no contest.

Stream_ON is not perfect, but it's the best player out there right now.

Yes but some of us need the app integrated into media center.
That's where this app shines...

This looks really good, couple of questions/requests:-

can someone re upload the 'streamer.zip' as its not available on both download sites.

Also my folder:- (usually C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Media Center Programs\Radio) doesnt have a radio folder....should i create one and unzip there or is it in a different place on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit?

Sorry for going 'radio silent'

Work got a little crazy. I'll see if I can add artist & song title over the weekend. If so, I'll repackage everything up to make it easier to modify and install.

Any chance at reposting, seemed to have missed my opportunity to download again. Thanks for the efforts
