Has anybody taken apart a PnP unit to fit in their car (or I suppose home - though unlikely)? I'd be interested to see how connections were made as well as any excess case material relative to the logic board. I'd prefer one of the smaller rectangular units, but otherwise it doesn't matter.

For example, is it possible to use any of the units without a dock? I assume one would have to splice some wires and solder, but otherwise it would work.

Yeah but then you cant use one subscription for all your cars and house.
Anything is possible if you have time to kill.
I have a stiletto2,it sounds better than any of em and I get no dropouts like when I had my old PNP.I lug it from car to car and to the house.I did kill off my tv subscription though.
Why would you want to take apart a PNP,if you want custom ,get a radio with sirius controls and a hide-away tuner, then you wont even see the sirius radio. No?

Anyone know why Im a wax cylinder????
