It was a pretty funny prank:

The New Place - SIRIUS Backstage Forum

"I read about the new forum and thought I'd register your name so (if) when you went to, you would be like - WTF?, and post a response like you did.

Anyhow, I went to log on today to delete the "Jgatie" account, so you could register it, and the mods banned me (you) for multiple accounts. I also tried to log on As DLM, and I am banned under that name until October 21, I think. I like that place already!

It was just a simple, stupid prank, and I apoligize. Tell the mods over there what has happened, and to delete the account if they haven't already, so you can register under it.

I'm deeply ashamed, and it's something I'll have to live with forever....or, until October 22, whichever comes first. Take care."

Finally got on this morning. Sorry about the delay in getting back, there was a water heater emergency at my place and I don't like to think about DLM without a hot shower handy.

Anyway, glad to be on the new board, and I too gotta give props to DLM. I haven't seen a "Neener! Neener! Neener! I stole your seat!!" prank so well executed since I was in grade school.

Whatever. I personally found it childish and I said that well before I knew it was DLM. I'd feel the same if it was Goreds who lost his nick.

Practical jokes are/were never my cup of tea. There's something about them that is so . . . cheap.

Oh come on. DLM manned up and admitted to playing the prank. Stop taking yourself so seriously and have a little fun. :jj:

Like I said, it has nothing to do with who did it and I'm not taking myself too seriously, I just don't like practical jokes. I get why people think it is funny, but I prefer to face my tormentors on the field of battle, if you will. It's not something I would ever even think of doing, never mind doing it, and for that I'm either honorable or gullible; take your choice.

Besides, DLM occupies about 5 minutes of my thought process a day, about the time it takes to post a response to his drivel. The fact that the very first thing someone thought of when they came here was to register as me (even before registering as themselves!!) is fucking creeeeeeepy.

As far as manning up is concerned, he was caught and banned, he had to man up.

I don't think it was creepy. I think it was very funny. He was caught because he probably used the same IP address. I think you think about him more than 5 minutes a day on SBS you couldn't wait for him to post and vice versa. Its all in fun man. I think you two are hillarious together. You two are my favorites. Lighten up man life is way to short and trust me you don't want to be on a "battlefield". Thats why I'm sitting in a wheelchair now. Have fun Jgatie and keep up the good "Fun" posts.

Whatever. I hate to use a cliche like "You'd feel different if it was done to you", so I'll just say we see things differently. I guess I just didn't expect my little leisure time activity at SBS to trigger such a juvenile, grade-school response. I guess I was wrong.

As far as thinking about him goes; if you knew what my job was, you'd know I come here for comic relief from stressful situations, not to create stressful situations. Believe me when I say that DLM enters into my thoughts much less than it seems to you, especially when the shit hits the fan (which can be anytime 24/7).

Seriously, posting responses to his (and other's) inanities keeps me sane, instead of driving me crazy. I got enough "crazy" trying to deal with work, and passing the time tooling on DLM and others is just the boredom-relieving equivalent of solitaire, except with spelling and grammar, and I take it about as serious as solitaire. So please forgive me if I was stunned when the deck of cards decided to up and fuck with my screename. ;)

PS - Sorry about the "battlefield" reference, I never meant it literally.

No need to be sorry. Again I love when you two go at it. Thats my comic relief for the day too. I bet you guys would probably be friends if you hung out together. Thanks again for making me laugh I appreciate it. Wait......... I could see it now a radio show with you and DLM. I would so listen to that.
