I was wondering if anyone has experienced areas where, for no logical reason, there is no coverage. No large buildings, and nothing blocking the view of the sky, but every time, day or night, I drive by this location my Radio loses coverage. At first I thought it might be an antenna problem with my Stiletto, but it happens with the radio in my new car also.

Any ideas as to why this is happening? Here is the address where it cuts out 72871 Dinah Shore Dr, Rancho Mirage, CA. If you look at the street view of the address on Google Maps you will see that it is a clear area.

Yes.

There is an intesection in Toronto where XM signal drops to near 0. We have plenty of repeaters and there is a clear view of the southern sky. Both terrestrial and sat signal drop out. It lasts about 1/2 block.

For about 2 weeks last November a whole 2 block radius completely lost XM signal around the car dealership where I bought my car. They were the centre of the drops. Then that spot disappeared. Again no obstructions and plenty of repeaters.
