Rick, Choc and Nate Ryan were discussing the possibility of Danica coming to NA$CAR when she becomes a free agent at the end of this season. Choc kept insisting that "its not because she's a woman" but he just can't see it. Nate and Rick seemed to think that she would be marketing gold. To which Choc reasoned that there are two kinds of people: racers and promoters. Ask the racers what they think about her coming over. Then ask the promoters and they'd be all for it for the ability to sell product and tee shirts.

I couldn't get through to ask the question: Is Rick Hendrick making more off his cut of Dale Juniors tee shirts or off Dale Junior's winnings?

I'd love to see her in NASCAR and all of the attention that would bring the sport. She's hot and a 'hot head'. She would attract more people to the sport IMO. She's about the only thing that the IRL even has.

You can't be confused over this. I'd think that the merchandise sales from JR. have generated more income for Hendrick than all four of his drivers winnings combined.

I can just imagine what the nascar haters at ESPN/sportscenter would say if Danica came to Nascar.

Well, I'd HAVE to imagine it since I don't pay any attention to ESPN. :p

The I .R. L. had better be glad to have her, they would fold if they lost Danica. She's a marketers dream, and i'm sure NASCAR would love to have her in their series i just don't see it happening. She's said on several occasions that she doesn't wanna run that much, she makes more money out of the car than in it so why would she wanna run 38 races a year. She only runs 20 or 21 whatever it is now.

Moody was talking about it too... But the point is mute, expecially since she's the biggest driver in the IRL, and Richard Petty doesn't even think her kind should be racing anyhow

Yeah this sport will get a lot of attention every week when here team fails to qualify b/c she can't keep it in the top 35

Danica in the 5 car next year? WOW. THAT would be huge. And if she did better than Jr.? :eek:

Rick Hendrick says he would love to have Mark Martin in the 5 again next year, but we all know that if Danica becomes available, he'd be all over that...:)

Danica has zero experience in these cars, she only threatens to go to NASCAR when her contract is up for renewal. She isn't coming to NASCAR, she'd be better off just sticking to FHM covers.

i meant to say that earlier. i'm pretty sure nascar wouldn't let her get away with that modeling crap if she ever were to come to nascar. and when i say modeling crap, i mean her posing with a truck, nationwide or cup car.
