Hi there,

I have a couple of years old Sportster 2 Replay. The way it connected to my old receiver was simply through a dock that had a mini jack output that split into a 2 channel RCA cable that plugged into the back of my old receiver.

But now... I have a new Onkyo receiver that has an 8-pin DIN jack in the back waiting to get connected to my Sirius receiver.

So here's the question. Is there a dock that I can place my Sportster 2 in that will connect to my Onkyo receiver?

Or is my Sirius receiver too old?

There is a product that exists that will allow you to connect a standard plug and play radio, like a Sportster 5, to that 8 pin connection and allow your Onkyo receiver to control the unit. Here is the product: SIRIUS Connect Home Kit SCHDOC1

Unfortunately this product is only compatible with newer radios and it is NOT compatible with your SPR2. I would just hook it through the way you are used to or upgrade to a new radio and use the SCHDOC1.

Figured as much. Don't know how worth it, it is to buy a whole new radio AND a home connector kit just to have my Onkyo receiver control it.

Would've been nice, but I guess I can be happy just hearing it and plugging it in through a different input.

Thanks for the replies though!
