There you have it.

Cool! But I hate the fact that SIRIUS XM won't just come out and SAY what they intend to do next week! Why must we piece it together by rumors and "announcements" by jocks??

udfan07 - I would expect yes. He's such a high profile personality, SIRIUS XM would be stupid to have it on a channel that not all receivers can tune to.

Yeah

Yes, if you get channel 5 now, you'll get it next week too. They'll just simulcast the music to both services.

It will be just like channel 12 is now.

LISTEN TO CHANNEL 6 RIGHT NOW. THE CUZ WILL SURELY RE-ANNOUNCE THIS INFORMATION

I love The Cuz! Glad to hear he will be on both services. It is looking more and more like I'll be able to actually just drop my Sirius subscription and keep my XM.

Dual subscribers are little to no concern to SIRIUS XM. There are really not that many of us, and the cost savings of simulcasting and reducing staff FAR outweighs the subscriptions.

I'll be dropping my SIRIUS once the channel merger is complete and my sub runs out (January, I think).

I wonder how many music channels will be simulcasted. If they manage to do all of them it will probably allow many people to drop one or the other.

That is a good question , and we already know that Escape and the XM 90's channel are staying , and being a sirius subscriber I wonder what other ones will stay in the lineup their and possibly come over to Sirius.

So then I'd like to know which service has better sound quality and also, if and when the radio's are phased together, will there be more bandwidth for better sound quality?

I dont know , this is why this channel change is so frustrating because there hasnt been anything released on it , and we are all in confusion mode here.

It would be nice to know what is happening with Classic Vinyl and Classic Rewind. Those are two of my favorite channels

I know what you mean. I'm holding in my hand a brochure that Sirius mailed out to me in 2005 that announced the arrival of a few new channels. Imagine that... a few years ago Sirius used to actually mail you stuff. Now, we get nothing, and there's only a week to go.

I don't expect them to mail me something every time they make a channel change but it would be nice to have a press release or statement on the web page or just send an e-mail.
