Too many to remember - could see a lot of concerts before the prices got too expensive. A few memorable ones:

Van Halen (with DLR, after 1st release) opening for Black Sabbath (with Ozzy).

Nine Inch Nails playing a small hall (old movie theater) around the time of pretty hate machine. Before the 'band' split to form Filter.

A 'heavy metal wednesday' show for ten bucks = Def Leppard, Scorpions, Judas Priest on the same bill.

Any of the 'world series of rock' shows in the old Cleveland stadium. These shows started around noon and ended late with a lot of good bands on the bill. Saw AC/DC, Aerosmith, J Geils, Journey, Pink Floyd, Ted Nugent, Bob Seger, Def Leppard, Pink Floyd, Stones, Todd Rungren, Thin Lizzy, Nazareth during these shows. Normally around 80,000 in attendence. Most memorable lineup was 1979, with scorpions as a last-minute addition as the opener followed by AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Journey, Ted Nugent, and Aerosmith ending the show. Was a nice time to grow up.

I have two standout performances in my mind.

Depeche Mode at Dodger Stadium (back in the day), my brother was a huge fan and I didn't dig them at all and just went along because he couldn't find anyone to go with. I left there with a new favorite band (which has not changed to this day).

Nirvana at The Forum not too long before Kurt died. I was obsessed with Nirvana at the time, in fact the only book I've ever finished (I know I'm stupid) was a biography of the band. I won front row tickets from KROQ right on the side of the pit and when the band came out on stage that was as close to a religious experience that I've ever had or ever will have.

You fuckers need to get a life! LOL ;)

I'd probably been to a half dozen concerts in my life!

I was too screwed up to remember them though! I know one of them was Elvis and of course AC/DC!

Man there was some good drugs back then! LOL

You guys have quite a list of great bands.

I've been to 30+ live shows.

My favorite concert was seeing Emerson, Lake and Palmer in MSG with the the 70 piece symphony orchestra (1976)

Too many to list, so here are the three most memorable, in no particular order:

1. Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Ian Gillan Band, Doctors of Madness

2. Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, and about half a dozen other bands

3. Kiss

Never was a huge Kiss fan, but they put on a good live show.

The list is too long to remember all, but here are a few of the memorable:

Two weeks after Woodstock, the first Texas International pop festival was held in Lewisville, Texas. Some of the artist I saw were:

Chicago Transit Authority
Janis Joplin
Grand Funk Railroad
Sly and The Family Stone
Canned Heat
Sam & Dave
Santana
Led Zeppelin
Spirit
Herbie Mann and a few others that I forgot.

I also went to a Herman Hermits concert where he was backed up by The Blues Magoos and a band called The Who.

One of the little more recent and fun concerts was also in Dallas where Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top made me do things I don't regret. I have a standing date with Sirius Daughter to go to any US held Rammstein concert. I promised.

Far too many probably to list here - I'm an old guy, afterall... so here's what still exists in the memory banks

ELO, Hall & Oates, Paul Simon, Elvis Hitler, Naked Raygun, INXS, Oingo Boingo, Men at Work, The Tubes, Todd Rundgren's Utopia, The Go Gos, A Flock of Seagulls, The Cars, J. Geils Band, The Monkees, Gary Puckett, Culture Club, Eric Clapton, George Thorogood, The Kinks, Rush, The Dead Milkmen, Bhopal Stiffs, New Order, Public Image Ltd., Sex Pistols, The Damned, Peter Gabriel, Iron Maiden, Frehley's Comet, King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Overkill, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Alice in Chains, Motorhead, Queensryche, Warrior Soul, Danzig, Static-X, Killswitch Engage, Dimmu Borgir, Lacuna Coil, Iced Earth, Nevermore, Evergrey, Throwdown, In Flames, Dream Theater, Testament, Black Sabbath (both Dio and Ozzy), Judas Priest...

Definitely a lot more bands that I'm forgetting about, either as openers, or those that I went to see with other people when I didn't have an interest in the music specifically (went to just hang out or whatever). I've also seen some of these bands multiple times (I rarely miss Iron Maiden or Killswitch when they pass through).

My one regret - never having had a chance to see Talking Heads :(
Maybe I'll start a thread on this...
