The weekend-long preview of SiriusXM’s COMEDY CENTRAL Radio will showcase highlights of the programming lineup listeners can expect to hear when the channel launches later this spring. The preview, which will air on SiriusXM’s Raw Dog Comedy, channel 99, will kick off on Thursday, April 4 at 6:00 pm ET with a live call-in show with comedian Gabriel Iglesias and special guests.

SiriusXM’s “The COMEDY CENTRAL Radio Preview Weekend” will also feature a wide variety of COMEDY CENTRAL’s stand-up featuring comedians Aziz Ansari, Bo Burnham, Louis CK, Jim Gaffigan, Chris Hardwick, Mitch Hedberg, Pete Holmes, Anthony Jeselnik, Marc Maron, John Mulaney, John Oliver, Amy Schumer, Nick Swardson, Daniel Tosh and more.

Additionally, the preview weekend will feature an exclusive SiriusXM “Town Hall” special with Gabriel Iglesias airing on Friday, April 5 at 5:30 pm ET moderated by comedian Martin Moreno. “SiriusXM’s Town Hall with Gabriel Iglesias” will feature Iglesias, whose two-night world premiere of “Gabriel Iglesias: Aloha Fluffy” airs on COMEDY CENTRAL on Sunday, April 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET and Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET, answering questions from the studio audience about his career. Yep, I heard earlier that it would possibly replace Dirty Dog- more reason to believe after preview, it will not be available on satellite.

No official word yet, but to clarify, all indicators are pointing toward it replacing Dirty Dog Ch 403. An Xtra channel only on SiriusXM Radios- Lynx & Edge & Internet Radio.

2 Main purposes of this preview:

1) Encourage Sat only subs to either subscribe to Internet radio and/or buy a SXM radio

2) Let everyone be able to listen to the Town Hall

SiriusXM just posted this statement on there FB page:

"Then Raw Dog returns...and Comedy Central joins the lineup as a permanent channel on its own number in mid-May."

So this would kind of indicate it will be an actual sat channel

Maybe Comedy Central Radio will be available 24/7 on 2.0 platforms with the occasional show and feature on Rawdog for regular satellite users. That's how it's done with some other xtra channels.
