Howard is talking all about Stern Fan Network,

We need him to give this forum a mention. Once he does that, I'm sure members will flock here in droves...

I tried calling this morning to put in a plug but they didn't pick up the phone. I figured that I would start at 5:30-5:50, figuring they would pick up and keep me on hold, but I guess that doesn't work.

Its so cool that people would be so loyal to this place already to do that.
But I'm worried that amount of traffic would crash this place. He will mention it sometime I'm sure. I think it's better it doesn't have SIRIUS or SIRIUS XM in the name or URL. He's mentioned Orbitcast a time or two before.

I mean I could always have Baba Booey mention it in an ad on the Wrap Up show.

I'm sure Bubba would be happy to mention it, but like you said, you're better off without a sudden rush of traffic.

We want to make sure this place is ready. It's still in a Beta mode and I've got a lot to learn about how the site works. It's been fun spending time on this place this weekend, but I've got to get down to business :wave:

Good point. Best not to put it out too miuch until you are happy with it and sure that it is nice and stable.

Of course people are passionate about this place. I am not sure if you were around SBS prior to the S50 craze but SBS was the authority on Sirius hardware/issues. Now that SBS is "dead" I am sure this place will become what SBS once was. We have the same people now we just need a place to stay up and active (it looks like you guys are commited to that).

I'm so excited about this place I can't even explain it. It's good that others agree. I want to do whats best for the site. I think some good links will help bring a lot more traffic. A mention on Orbitcast not in the comments section will be huge.

I just don't want us to spam others is all. Can't wait to put more CONTENT into the help sections and start getting people who need help and advice to come over here.

I mention it before...I find it so exciting to be on the ground-floor of this whole thing. Once again, please let me know if I can do anything for you guys. I have the knowledge and time.

We don't want to wait too long.... Timeing is everything. The fact that SBS was on its way down and that everyone here is excited is a very good sign.

Don't loose momentum. The fact that there are over a 100 new member is two days is Great!

Do we really want that? Part of the reason I like(d) SBS so much compared to places like SFN is that there isn't an infinite number of members and threads. It's such a cluster fuck of people and threads over there, it's nearly impossible to have any kind of rational conversation. It all eventually degenerates into petty name-calling. The larger the crowd, the dumber. I like the exclusive feel of SBS. I think the last thing we need is people like Irish John over here. If we can get Romeo Blues, though, well I'm all for that.
