It just occurred to me that since i have mondays off and the rain delayed truck race is tomorrow, and the fact that i'm a 45 minute easy drive away. That maybe i should go. Can i get tickets easy enough?

I guess some thought it was a silly question. But i dont know how ppl that had tickets to the original race get handled. It seemed a fair question to me.
I'd say go for it; I go to the fall race each year and the truck race is never sold out and tickets are being sold at the gate. Wish I could go with ya, but tomorrow's a travel day for me...new job starting tuesday.

i only found it to be a silly question because i've never known a truck race to sell out. you'll be able to get a ticket, or even 100, at the ticket office tomorrow.

Yup. No trouble at all. Pretty much had my pick from.... oh.... about 20000 great seats Good racing save for the cautions, at least a dozen of those. The funny part was when the guy this a.m. actually tried to charge me for parking, 10 bucks he wanted. I laughed, threw it in reverse and parked across the street for free. Some nice people in a golf cart gave me a ride over to the track with them so i bought them all a round of hot dogs and still came out cheaper plus made some friends in the process. Grand total, including gas and breakfast i spent $42.00 to go see some great racing. Took me 30 minutes to drive up and 40 minutes to drive back, the extra 10 was how long it took to get out of the parking lot
The best part of the day, the drive home. Never saw a 4 lane once i left the track, back roads all the way. Absolutely beautiful spring day here in the Blue Ridge Mts. Days like that are worth 42 bucks without the racing, but the racing was a great topping to it all.

glad you enjoyed the racing there. I sure miss that track.
